Like its rivals, it offers a set-top box with digital-media services and a game store, so it has the business model in place. And it has tight control on profits and rights to a significant amount of digital media and games sold thru its stores and services. In fact , Sony is a film, game and music studio, and it publishes in-house titles in all three industries. Plus, it’s been around for a lot longer. Apple and Microsoft do not have that sort of reach and experience. But Apple and Microsoft own the planet’s preferred operating systems, and that's something Sony doesn't have.

Sony Has Become The Single Corporation That Has The Resources To Defeat Apple
