Canon Electronic Powershot Specs And Information
The Canon Digital Powershot is a pocket sized electronic camera that’s capable of taking high quality images. There are a few different cameras in the Powershot line, with pixellage ranging anywhere from 4 to twelve mega pixels.
For instance, the digital Elph is a budget minded middle of the line option that takes colourful photos at 10 megapixels and has a 3x optical zoom. The Powershot SX20 shoots HD movies, has a twenty x optical zoom and 12.1 mega-pixels.
Pocket digitals are great because they’re versatile and can be carried anywhere, tucked into a purse or a pocket, with no heavy equipment to lug around. The tiny digitals are so advanced now that they pretty much all feature image stabilization for low light situations, an HD camcorder inside with sound, and different shooting modes.
The cameras also have huge, colourful LCD screens of about 2.5 inches, and the Canon DIGIC four image processor, which uses face detection technology that tracks the moving faces till you are ready to shoot and then keeps them in perfect focus.
Most of the power shots also use perceptive contrast correction, which adjusts brights and darks in the photographs for a more balanced photo. Red eye correction can be fixed in camera so the user doesn’t need to use any post-image augmenting software.
The zooms in the camera are pretty potent but they do get coarse and unfocused at terribly high zoom settings. And Canon series often averages at a few hundred dollars in price, so those on the cheap can also enjoy the ability to take professional level images.
With adjustments like ISO and speed settings, and contrast, the user can also change settings within the camera to edit footage. This makes it less complicated to have an image that will go directly from the camera to printing.
