Pentax K100D Super

March 27th, 2010

Following the huge success of the Pentax K100D, the company has announced that they will be releasing its successor, the Pentax K100D Super within the year of 2007. The Pentax K100D Super is expected to following the footsteps of its predecessor, sharing some physical similarities but different in many functions. It is expected the this best-in-class camera will offer more advanced features and the Pentax K100D Super is expected to reach out to amateur and professional photographers by giving only the best picture results with the least amount of effort.

Easy

The Pentax K100D Super is hoped to be known for one thing: ease of use. A very professional unit that can handle many photographic operations, the camera is designed to be easy to hold as well. The Pentax K100D Super will feature a Dust Removal system (DR) which will ensure optimized quality of image capture by helping to keep dust off the CCD. The Pentax K100D Super will also have a Shake Reduction system (SR) to reduce movement or shaking of the camera to allow for sharper image capture and blur-free images in many different shooting conditions.

Sophisticated

One of the strong points of the Pentax K100D Super will be its auto-focus system. The Pentax K100D Super will sport a SAFOX VIII that allows for 11 sensor points which includes 9 cross-sensors at the center. What this means that even off-center objects will be captured with sharp and crystal clear quality. The Pentax K100D Super sports a high-quality imaging processor and high-end image processing technologies that will help make the best images even if its sensor only handles 6.1 effective mega pixels. Its auto-picture features and finishing touch processes will allow for a level of photographic sophistication that can easily be accessed and used by photographers of any level.

Point and Shoot

Although the Pentax K100D Super is not one of the cameras that belong in the point and shoot category, this is one camera that can handle that option pretty well. With the range of automatic features, such as auto-focus and auto-picture mode, this is one camera that will be able to handle photography at any given level. The auto-picture mode offers one of five modes including portrait, landscape, and macro. These visual effects give more options for the photographer on applying various treatments to his or her subject. All other primary functions such as shutter speed, white balance, and contrast control are also included in the Pentax K100D Super. The large LCD monitor is also on of the strengths of the Pentax K100D Super; its a 2.5 inch color LCD monitor with a wide-view design that allows photographers to check images on it at 140 degrees horizontally and vertically. This makes image review effortless even at various angles.

The Pentax K100D Super is set to hit the market before the end of 2007. Pentax will also be releasing a couple of lenses in 2008 that will be compatible with many of Pentaxs DSLRs, including the Pentax K100D Super. With a model that closely follows the K100 design the K100D Super is bound to be as popular and definitely more effective.
