    Can the G2 be attached with external microphone like GH1?

    This camera produces some of the most colorful images I have ever seen.The swiveling LCD screen for video recording is a nice touch. Some of the higher resolution modes seem fuzzy.

    @WhatDigitalCamera thats exactly what i’m talkin about it dont matter it’s a digital version of an SLR using different technology to acheive the same thing just coz it’s not got a mirror and no optical viewfinder means nothing a digital SLR doesnt have to tick the same box’s.. coz it’s not a 35mmm SLR it’s a DIGITAL Camera .
    Optical viewfinders-people dont use and aren’t nescasarily needed.
    Mirror- so what.
    like i say pretentious.

    @davemccarthymedia No it isn’t. No reflex mirror, no optical viewfinder.

    @butucgras i have the same cameras in mind but with an added nikon d5000 in the equation, and i’ve been researching all three and have been drawn more to the nikon.

    I just bought this cam one week ago – I love it! I never shot a photograph on ISO 6400, so with all cameras I used before noise was never an issue. When Panasonic released the G2 I thought the touchscreen would just be a gadget – but it makes sense. Great camera!

    @paudie200 A P&S or compact SLR may be good only in close range with? good light. With sports you are quite a distance away from the action most of the time, not? to mention? difficult light when it is dark or overcast.
    A Canon 7D and a EF 300mm f4L IS USM lens should serve well for general perpose sports photography at a more affordable price. This will give you 8 fps with max aperture of f4 @ 300mm
    Pro tele lenses with? fast apertures are often needed for sports and are really expensive.

I want to know how to find out how fast a camera can take the photo from the time i press the button. What should i look out for? and do you think the lumix g2 is a good buy?

    @ItsMiffyTheRubber

    Neither, I’d pick a GF1 and use the hacked firmware to film 1080p
