The Canon Digital Powershot is a pocket sized electronic camera that’s capable of taking high quality images. There are a few different cameras in the Powershot line, with pixellage ranging anywhere from 4 to twelve mega pixels.

For instance, the digital Elph is a budget minded middle of the line option that takes colourful photos at 10 megapixels and has a 3x optical zoom. The Powershot SX20 shoots HD movies, has a twenty x optical zoom and 12.1 mega-pixels.

Pocket digitals are great because they’re versatile and can be carried anywhere, tucked into a purse or a pocket, with no heavy equipment to lug around.
